How do I set up the field mapping between EventGeek and Salesforce CRM?

EventGeek allows you to map your Event, Lead & Contact and Meeting data directly with Salesforce

From within Org Reports & Settings > Integrations > Salesforce, there are four different settings which allow you to define the field mapping options for your EventGeek and Salesforce sync.


Event Sync - Field Mapping

Event Info Sync is required to sync Events in EventGeek with Campaigns in Salesforce. During the field-mapping process, you will map EventGeek Basic Event Info fields directly to campaign fields within Salesforce.

Contacts Sync - Field Mapping

Contacts Sync is optional and enables you to sync Contacts in EventGeek with Leads and Contacts in Salesforce. The following fields are required to sync a Contact from EventGeek to Salesforce:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Company

When Contacts Sync is enabled and an Event is connected to a Salesforce Campaign, the synced Leads and Contacts in Salesforce will become Campaign Members. This is a crucial link in tracking Event ROI.

Meetings Sync - Field Mapping

Meetings Sync is also optional and enables you to sync Meetings in EventGeek with Activities in Salesforce. Note that Meetings Sync requires Contacts Sync to run. The following fields are required to sync a Meeting from EventGeek to Salesforce:

  • Title 
  • Info 
  • Start Date
  • Status
  • Contact/Leads
  • Campaign
  • Organizer

When Meetings Sync is enabled and an Event is connected to a Salesforce Campaign, the synced Activities in Salesforce will become Campaign Activities. This is an additional crucial link in tracking Event ROI.
